Can (anyone) I purchase from Universal Art Supplies?

To purchase from Universal Art Supplies, you must have a Vendor’s License or Tax I.D. # and a valid store front.  Merchandise purchased must be for use in manufacturing or resale.  A copy of your Vendor’s License or Tax Exemption must be on file with our home office prior to order placement.  Individuals from Art Societies, teachers and students are always welcome.

 

How do I become a customer?

The first step to becoming a Universal Art Supplies customer is to fill out and submit a completed credit application to our Credit Department.  Your credit application can been submitted by email, mailed or faxed.  All new accounts will be shipped on a credit card or cash with order basis until credit is approved.

 

How long will it take to become a customer?

Once your application is received, your credit application will be processed and you will be notified within 4 business days

 

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept Visa and MasterCard.

 

What is the minimum opening order?

Our new account minimum opening order is $50.00.

 

What is the minimum reorder?

Reorders must be $50.00 or more.

 

What is your shipping policy?

All orders are F.O.B. Burlington, Ontario, unless otherwise stated prior to shipment.  Freight charges will be added to your invoice.  We can not ship any Flammable, Hazardous or ORM-D item via any air or ocean freight service.

 

How do I obtain a Universal Art Supplies catalogue?

A catalogue is available for $25.00 and is refunded on your first order over $100.00.

 

Do you offer backorders?

We offer backorders only at customer’s request.  We maintain one master backorder per customer.  This master backorder contains all backordered items from your past orders, eliminating numerous small backorders.  Each item will show the P.O. number from which it originated.  All non-shipped items will be placed on backorder.  When the total dollar amount of shippable merchandise exceeds $50.00 your backorder will be processed.  All backordered items over 60 days old will be cancelled.

 

What is your return policy?

All returns must have authorization from the home office prior to being returned to receive full credit.  Contact our Customer Service Department at 1-888-278-2931 to obtain a return authorization number.  A claim form must accompany returns.  Any authorized returned merchandise, which is damaged, and not resalable or not in its original package may be subject to restocking and handling charges.  Any merchandise deemed unsalvageable will be disposed of at the customer’s expense.  Claims for shortages must be reported within 10 days of receiving merchandise.  A claim form is included with each shipment.  Authorized returns should be sent to Universal Art Supplies, 3522 Mainway Drive, Burlington, Ontario, L7M 1A8, Attention: Return Department
